There are two times of the year that I look forward to the most – the twice yearly Sephora sale! I always seem to forget that because the sale is in April, this is the reason that I manage to run out of everything around this time. I feel like everything I use daily is running out like crazy – I’m ready to receive everything I picked up online this past Friday.
I went to Sephora yesterday to test some products I’ve been eyeing. One of the things I like to do is put everything I’m thinking about in my cart, so Friday when the sale opens, I can take full advantage! I am a VIB Rouge member – which means I spend way too much money at Sephora each year. Rouge members get an extra weekend to shop the sale, so ours began 4/13 and runs through tomorrow. Next weekend it is open once again to Rouge members, and also to VIB and Beauty Insiders. Below are my picks for the sale – I’m still going through and updating, so I’ll do a post of what I end up with. What are some of your must haves?
The Ole Henriksen Truth Serum has been a staple for me since the first time I used it. It works to heal your skin and bring color back to it – and it has made a big difference for me. Moroccanoil is a brand I’ve also used for a long time. The smell is my absolute favorite, so I love to stock up on their products during the sale. The Skin Inc. serum will be a new discovery for me, and I’m looking to see if it competes at all with the Truth Serum. I always pick up Clairsonic brush heads during the sales, because you’re supposed to change them every three months. I definitely notice when its been too long, because I break out like crazy. The Thirsty Girl Coconut Milk Leave-In Conditioner is a product I’m on the fence with – I could certainly use it, but might go through some of my other products before I try this one out.
I just had to re-order my favorite brow pencil. I go through them like crazy, so I needed to pick up another one. I focused pretty much exclusively on skin care this shopping trip. I love Moroccanoil and their original scent is just the best. I didn’t know they made a shower gel, so I wanted to give this a try – plus I grabbed my favorite dry shampoo from their line. The Lara Mercier brightening powder is a staple in my daily life. I only use it under my eyes, but I wanted to have another one on hand. The last item on the list is the SK-II Toner. I’ve used it before and LOVE it – I see such a change in my skin when I use it. Not sure I can justify the cost, so I’m still on the fence with this one.
I also think I’m going to pick up the Nars Luminous Silk Foundation – can’t wait to review that one!
What are you all picking up? Still time to shop this weekend, fellow Rouge shoppers!
